Hassan Bajwa

Software Developer

Hassan is a Software Developer at CloudConstable, where he develops and maintains AI applications. Hassan is passionate about continuously learning as well as putting new and ever-evolving software development technologies to practical use and CloudConstable provides the perfect platform to fuel that passion. Hassan received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from York University located in Toronto, Canada.

Jean-Jacques Rousseau

Jean-Jacques was the inaugural Innovation Advisor to the President of Haiti and launched the largest tech incubator in the Caribbean. Prior he worked on infrastructure financing, contributed to the Ontario Innovation Agenda and launched Clinical Trials Ontario. He holds a MBA (Schulich School of Business) and PhD in Philosophy of Science (IHPST, UofT). Jean-Jacques is Board Chair at CARE for Internationally Educated Nurses, Member of the Groupe Média TFO, Member of the World Summit AI Board of International Government and UN Advisors, and Mentor at NextAI (Montreal).

 

Thom Degnan

Thom Degnan is a C-Level Executive with a background of success in managing global business operations, complex strategic sales, business development, joint venture development and management, P&L management, and equity fund raising in changing environments. He is a highly effective, results oriented team builder with extensive international business management and joint venture development experience covering six continents. Most recently, Degnan led Soitec USA, Inc from 2014 until 2020 where he had responsibility for all operational aspects of Soitec S.A. in the Americas Region.

 

 

Edward Henley

Edward Henley is the Director of Finance and Treasurer for the municipality of Clearview, Ontario. He has been managing the finances for municipalities for more than 10 years. Prior to that, he worked for a Canadian bank providing financial planning for more than 18 years. Edward is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and has a Canadian Risk Manager designation.  In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering, cycling, travel and gastronomy.

 

Stephen Sutherland

Stephen Sutherland, CrossWing’s President & CEO, also serves on the National Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada’s Canadian Field Robotics Network Steering and Scientific Review Committee. His extensive past experience facilitates CrossWing’s plan to successfully launch the virtualME Interactive Personal Robotics platform and application ecosystem.

 

Ken Price

Ken Price is an entrepreneur with a strong client focus and deep international business experience. He has spent the bulk of his career driving commercial success for his own companies as well as for other early stage technology firms.

 

Rick welch

A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America and moved from the kitchen to F&B Director roles at large Convention Centers and eventually to General Manager at Hilton Hotels. He later joined the Royal Caribbean Group in Miami. In 2017, Rick opened RMW Global Consulting with the goal of helping companies present their products and service to cruise industry decision makers in meaningful ways. Rick is trusted to carefully vet potential clients and sort through those who may not be as prepared for the global reach, customer demands, volume and the expectation of margins in this discerning industry. He engages those companies who qualify and presents them to top industry decision makers and executives.

Michael Jenkin PhD

Michael Jenkin is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and a member of the Centre for Vision Research at York University. Working in the fields of visually guided autonomous robots and virtual reality, he has published over 150 research papers, including co-authoring Computational Principles of Mobile Robotics with Gregory Dudek and a series of co-edited books on human and machine vision with Laurence Harris.

Professor Jenkin’s current research interests include: work on sensing strategies
for AQUA, an amphibious autonomous robot being developed as a collaboration between Dalhousie University, McGill University and York University; the development of tools and techniques to support crime scene investigation; and the understanding of the perception of self-motion and orientation in unusual environments including microgravity.
