R Michael Pickering
Michael is an innovative expert in data architecture, analytics and Cloud solutions. He has extensive global experience in diverse industries including leadership roles such as Program Manager and Solution Architect on cutting edge software implementation projects. He previously founded two small but successful consulting firms.
Emily is passionate about helping others, and founding innovative ways to use technology to enhance home and work lives. She has over 20 years of combined experience in infrastructure, application and data monitoring and management; user experience; application development; consulting; service management; marketing; and management of business and technology projects.
Hanbin Chang is a 4th year student at University Of Toronto, specializing in web development. He is currently participating as a Research Assistant at Department of Computer Science, working on a software engineering research project. He joined CloudConstable as a Computer Software Developer and has been working on NodeRed integration with Watson Services for weather and music services.
Christine Cheng is a student at Trinity College, University of Toronto, specializing in Computer Science with a focus in AI. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano and participating in hackathons. Recently, at the GM Hack AI hackathon, her team built a “car nanny” app and won First Place. She joins CloudConstable on an OCE TalentEdge Internship and has been working on programming the microphone array and the MCU, which controls the movement of the AirHead.
Atiyeh Ashari Ghomi
Atiyeh Ashari Ghomi is a Software Developer at CloudConstable. She mainly works on the cloud using IBM Bluemix. She has done her Master’s in computer science at University of Toronto. Her hobbies are gymnastics, rock climbing, camping, reading books and watching movies.
Armin is a software quality assurance and development expert at CloudConstable. He has over 15 years of combined experience in the Information Technology sector and has been involved in and led projects such as hardware and software system design, development and testing.
He holds a Masters degree in computer engineering and has received certificates in IT such as “Mobile Business Technologies and Applications” for Android, iOS and Web-based platforms from University of Toronto. Armin’s hobbies are playing tennis, hiking, and reading books.
Afrodita Kujumdzieva is a fourth year student at the University of Toronto working towards a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Minor in Mathematics. As a Software Developer at CloudConstable, Afrodita focuses on development of the client including implementing communication between the client and the cloud. In her spare time she enjoys being active, playing sports such as flag football and tennis, and she has passion for travelling.
Stephen Camera-Murray has over two decades of experience building and leading analytics teams to help companies solve business challenges with data. He is currently the Senior Manager of Analytic Solutions at Constant Contact in Waltham, Massachusetts. Aside from data science, he also enjoys kayaking and snowboarding.
Ian Colquhuon founded Axiom Audio over 30 years ago. He spent his first 10 years researching and perfecting loudspeaker measurements and sound in a research project headed up by Dr. Floyd Toole at the National Research Council in Ottawa, Canada. During this time some real breakthroughs were made in sound reproduction. Ian is still heavily involved today in Axiom product design and ongoing research projects that delve into unexplored areas of sound reproduction.
April Dunford is the founder of Rocket Launch Marketing. She serves as a board member at Sampler, and mentors at Venture for Canada, Founder Institute and FounderFuel.
Himani Garg, BI Senior Technical Manager at Constant Contact in Waltham, Massachusetts has more than 12 years of experience providing Data Warehousing and analytic solutions across several industries, and has a passion of building and applying advanced statistical and machine learning models to solve to a diverse set of problems.
Edward Henley is the Director of Finance and Treasurer for the municipality of Clearview, Ontario. He has been managing the finances for municipalities for more than 10 years. Prior to that, he worked for a Canadian bank providing financial planning for more than 18 years. Edward is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and has a Canadian Risk Manager designation. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering, cycling, travel and gastronomy.
Matt Kantor has a love of technology, learning and design. His twenty year career has been spent building teams that produce dependable, high-performance software. He’s designed and built critical infrastructure for both Fortune 500 and startups. Matt can easily bridge the gap between line-level code and the abstract architectural view. Redundant, scalable, and easy to use systems make Matt happy. Matt currently is the Vice President of Engineering at MileOut Ltd in Toronto ON Canada.
Giancarlo is a Project Manager with a background in Systems Engineering with over 6 years of professional experience working in new media and web technology. His focus is on managing multidisciplinary large-scale CMS-driven Agile projects using Jira.
Ken Price is an entrepreneur with a strong client focus and deep international business experience. He has spent the bulk of his career driving commercial success for his own companies as well as for other early stage technology firms.
Joseph Singh is an Executive Vice President overseeing complex engagements as an Operating Executive in the Private Equity and Venture Capital arenas. Throughout his career, he has been active on a number of for-profit and non-profit boards. Notably, he has served on the Executive and House Committees of the Columbia University and Princeton University Clubs in New York in the capacity of Board of Governor and Treasurer respectively.
Stephen Sutherland, CrossWing’s President & CEO, also serves on the National Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada’s Canadian Field Robotics Network Steering and Scientific Review Committee. His extensive past experience facilitates CrossWing’s plan to successfully launch the virtualME Ineractive Personal Robotics platform and application ecosystem.
Vijay Bhaskar Thangella
Vijay Thangella is the Principal Technical Manager currently working for Endurance International, Boston. For over 4 years, he worked in implementing Banking Data warehouses for Canadian Banks with Basel compliance, first of its kind in North America. For more than a decade, he worked in retail and email marketing businesses and assisted in building Analytical data warehouse platforms. Currently, he shifted his interest to implement data science related projects in a couple of Tech startups.
Mr. Verma is an experienced Management Consulting professional. He brings his expertise of Sales, business development, recruiting, business process engineering, project management and business analytics. He has worked for clients in both private and public sector with companies specializing in Finance, Mortgages and Utilities.
